Sweetest Christmas

Hi,

I have another Christmas card to share with you. I'm entering this card to Cure For The Monday Blues challenge as well as PTI Make It Monday challenge.

The inspiration photo for this challenge is shown below.
I created my card based on the gold and silver jewelries, the neutral, pink and light green colors from the picture. I also used the "Gold Dipped die cut" method that Danielle Flanders shared on PTI blog, except that I used some white flower soft instead of a gold embossing powder.

I started by die cutting a white cardstock using a stitched die from Mama Elephant Femme Frames. I then stamped various circle stamps from PTI Polka Dot Basics using Tsukineko Delicata Gold and Silver ink.

For the embellishments, I die cut a mug and the candy canes from PTI Candy Cane Christmas set. I used the coordinating stamp set to stamp the images on the die cuts and added some flower soft on the edge of the die cuts. I also added some gold stickles on the flower soft. To make it more sparkly, I added some sequins.

I simply stamped the sentiment (also from PTI Candy Cane Christmas set) using some Versafine Black Onyx ink.

Supplies:
- PTI Candy Cane Christmas, Polka Dot Basics
- Mama Elephant Femme Frames
- Tsukineko Delicata Gold and Silver ink, Stampin' Up ink pads.
- Sequins, Flower soft, stickles
- PTI cardstock

I used WPlus9 Winter Wonderland set as well as a background stamp from Basic Grey to create this card. I first created the background by stamping the background image using Mama Elephant Sunshine ink pad.

I used embossing, masking and blending technique to make the framed images and "painting". I embossed the bird in red glitter.

Supplies:
- PTI cardstock,
- Mama Elephant, Distress Ink pads
- Versamark ink
- WPlus9 Winter Wonderland, Background stamp from Basic Grey

Sending Lots of Love Your Way

I created this card as an entry to Taheerah's Challenge (Cure For The Monday Blues).

For this challenge, we have the following inspiration photo.

I used the Peony on the table and the gold elements as my inspiration.

So... here is my card. :)

I used PTI In Bloom set to create this card. I stamped the flowers and leaves on a piece of Neenah white cardstock with some masking and then colored the images with Copics. I also used Gold Peerless watercolor to add some accents.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Chalkboard Love. To finish the card, I adhered some chunky glitter on a piece of Spring Rain cardstock from PTI using a piece of sticky tape. I then adhered the main piece of the card on the base card using some dimensionals.

Sweet Treat Card

I combined two challenges for this card, Cure For The Monday Blues challenge and PTI Make It Monday #178.

For the PTI challenge, we have to create an easel card. For the Cure For The Monday Blues, we have to create a card based on the following inspiration photo.

So, here is my card.

When I saw the inspiration picture, I immediately thought of creating a card with dessert images. I also took the colors from the inspiration photo. To make it even more fun, I created a shaker card.

I started by creating the base easel card. I die cut PTI Soft Stone base card using Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 22.

To create the shaker part, I die cut a piece of DCWV pink glitter cardstock with PTI Slider Frame die. Also, I used the same die, with the help of a handmade shim, to create an opening on the base card.
I die cut a piece of double-sided foam adhesive that I got from PTI Shakers and Sprinkles kit.

I adhered a square piece of transparency to the front part of the foam adhesive and then adhered the frame die cut on top of it. I flipped the foam adhesive, put some sprinkles on top of the transparency and then adhered the second piece of the transparency, sealing the sprinkles inside. The sprinkles are from PTI Shakers and Sprinkles kit as well. I adhered the shaker to the front of the card.

I stamped the "Thank you" sentiment from Ruby Rose stamp set on the inside of the card with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder from PTI.

To embellish the card, I used Cleary Besotted's Tasty Treats stamp and die sets to create the cupcake and the little macarons. I added some gold Stickles to add sparkles to the die cut pieces.

I also added scalloped ribbons, embellished with some liquid pearls to the card. I got the idea from the border of the pink cake stand in the inspiration photo.

Supplies:
- PTI Slider Frame die
- PTI Ruby Rose stamp set
- PTI Shakers and Sprinkles kit
- Clearly Besotted Tasty Treats stamp and die sets
- Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 22
- PTI Soft Stone cardstock, DCWV cardstock
- Stampin' Up ink pads (Coastal Cabana, Red Riding Hood)
- Mama Elephant Bubble Gum ink pad
- Gold stickles, Gold embossing powder, Versamark ink pad
- AC ribbon

I started by stamping the flowers and leaves on a piece of white cardstock. I used Grafix frisket film for masking. Pinecones from Winter Wreath sets were embossed using some espresso embossing powder from Ranger. I then fussy cut around the image.

I used a piece of pattern paper from Echo Park to create the frame. All the elements were adhered on a piece of white woodgrain paper with some dimensional adhesive. The "Happy Holidays" sentiment is from a rub-on sheet I found in my stash.

For the base of the card, I used some Soft Stone cardstock from PTI.

Dot Stamping

I created a card as an entry to Taheerah's Cure For The Monday Blues challenge.

The inspiration photo for this week's challenge is "Bed's Eye View"

I was inspired by the purple bouquet, the gold/copper lamp, the giant button on the bedside table as well as the square pillow at the bottom left corner of the photo.

The white pillow texture reminded me of dot painting somehow. So I tried to make my own version of dot painting. I used purple, white and gold colors for my card.

I used the rose stamps from PTI Rosie Posie set, the leaf stamps from Ruby Rose. The sentiment and tag image are from Avery Elle's Thanks a bunch set.

I first stamped the rose images using a light purple ink on die cuts created using the matching die set for PTI Rosie Posie set. Using a darker ink, I used a very small dot stamp from Mama Elephant's Water Bloom set to fill in the rose shape. I did the same thing with the leaves.

For the card base, I used an embossed card from DCWV. I adhered a piece of dark purple cardstock on the center. I colored the edges of the card as well as the edges of the dark purple square using Wink of Stella Gold marker.

I assembled the pieces using some dimensional adhesive and added some gold glitter die cuts made using PTI Circle Scribbles die. I added some chunky glitters to the flowers as well.

To finish the card, I added a bow, a purple button and the sentiment tag.

Supplies:
- PTI Rosie Posie, Ruby Rose stamp sets
- PTI Circle Scribbles die
- Mama Elephant's Water Bloom set
- Avery Elle Thanks a Bunch
- PTI cardstock, DCWV Card base
- Wink of Stella Gold marker
- Stampin' Up and Amuse Ink pads
- DCWV Glitzy cardstock
- Wow! Glitter

For the PTI challenge, we have to use cover plates negative. Also, here is the inspiration photo for Cure For The Monday Blues challenge.
Here is my card.

I used the negative parts that I got when making a die cut using PTI Triangles Cover Plate. I picked the bright colors based on the inspiration photo.

For the sentiment, I used a label maker to create parts of the phrase as well as a "Sprinkles" die cut from PTI Make It Market kit.

No stamping needed for this card, but a lot of paper piecing and gluing needed. : )

Supplies:
- PTI Triangles Cover Plate
- PTI Make IT Market: Shakers & Sprinkles

PTI Stamp-a-Faire: 1920's

Here is my take on the 1920's challenge.

The sentiment comes from Signature Christmas set.

Supplies:
- PTI dies from Regency kit
- PTI Signature Christmas set
- Pattern paper from Ancient Rome kit
- Memento Tuxedo Black ink
- Martha Stewart silver glitter, silver bling mesh

PTI Stamp-a-Faire: Regency Era

This is the card I made for the Regency Era challenge.

I used PTI's Up Up and Away as well as Think Big Favorites #9 sets to create this card. I used the air balloons as Christmas ornaments. I colored them using Copics and Wink of Stella and added some stitching.

I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

Supplies:
- PTI Up Up and Away, Think Big Favorites #9
- Copics, Wink of Stella Gold
- Pattern paper, vellum
- Black marker, Memento ink
- Silver embroidery floss

PTI Stamp-a-Faire: Renaissance

Here is my card for the Renaissance challenge.

I used PTI's City Scene, Unity's A Simple Christmas and Mama Elephant's Cinnamon Spice sets to create the postcard.

It may not be visible on the picture, but I colored the Eiffel tower with Wink of Stella Gold pen.

As an embellishment, I stamped a circle stamp from Studio L2E's Circle of Joy on some melted wax. I then adhered the seal on top of a piece of folded ribbon.

Supplies:

- PTI City Scene
- Unity A Simple Christmas
- Mama Elephant's Cinnamon Spice (from Studio Calico kit)
- Studio L2E's Circle of Joy
- Stampin' Up Whisper white cardstock
- Stampin' Up ink pads
- Wax, May Arts ribbon

PTI Stamp-a-Faire: Ancient Rome

Here is a Christmas card that I made using the technique shared by Lizzie Jones.

I used the die from the Ancient Rome kit to create a stencil. I then used the stencil, together with gold embossing paste to create the brick pattern at the bottom half of the card. On top, I just used one of the pattern paper that comes with the Ancient Rome kit.

I created the window using Poppy Stamps French Door die. I added some vellum to cover the window. For the background of the window, I simply colored a piece of white cardstock with some Broken China Distress Ink and a blending tool.

At the top of the window, I adhered a bow and a wreath that I created using the stamp set from the kit.

Since there is no sentiment at the front of the card, I added one inside the card using a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #8

- Poppy Stamps French Door die
- Stampin Up' Whisper White cardstock, vellum

Embossing Paste Card

Hello there!

I hope you have a good Saturday.

I am sharing a card that I made as an entry to both PTI Make It Monday challenge as well as Taheerah's Cure For The Monday Blues challenge.

For the PTI Make It Monday challenge, we have to use some embossing paste in a card. On the other hand, we have the following inspiration photo for Cure For The Monday Blues challenge.

So here is my card.

I take my inspiration from the pillows and the comforter in the photo.

Using Wendi Vecchi embossing paste and Studio Calico mask, I created the falling star background. I then die cut the "hip hip hooray" phrase using PTI Block Alphabet die set twice. I took the first set of letters and temporarily adhered them on a piece of scrap paper and colored them using a fine paintbrush and various re-inkers and mists. Once the paint is dry, I adhered the letters on the other set of die-cut letters to make the letters thicker. I placed the letters on the grey background.

I then adhered the grey piece on a white base using some dimensional adhesive.

Supplies:
- Studio Calico Mask
- PTI Block Alphabet die set
- Wendi Vecchi embossing paste,
- Wink of Luna Gold
- Bazzil grey cardstock, Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock
- Distress Ink re-inkers, Studio Calico and Tattered Angels mists
- Enamel dots from my stash

Make It Monday #175

Here is my take on PTI Make It Monday #175.

I used PTI In The Meadow stamp and die set to create this card. I used the tree and the boy on the sledge dies as a border die. I wanted to make the boy looked as if he was coming down from a slope.

To decorate the tree, I used some stickles and heat embossed the bird images.

For the snow, I randomly stamped the scattered dot stamp from Avery Elle Celebrate on top of the card.

I stamped a sentiment from PTI Peaceful Pinecones on a piece of a vellum banner and adhered it on a die cut from Pink Paislee City Sidewalk collection.

Supplies:
- Neenah Dessert Storm and Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock
- PTI In the Meadow, Peaceful Pinecones sets
- Avery Elle Celebrate, Build a Banner set
- Stampin' Up ink pads
- Stickles
- Pink Paislee City Sidewalk die cut

Peace & Joy

Here is the second card that I made for Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge.

From the inspiration photo above, I used the wall outside the room, the mint and gold color for my card.

I picked PTI Fine Linen cardstock as my base. Using PTI Mehndi Medallion set and Stampin' Up River Rock ink pad, I created the wallpaper background. I also scored two pieces of cardstock to create the "crown molding" and the "baseboard".

To create the center piece, I created a die cut from a white cardstock using PTI Circle Scribbles die. I colored the cardstock using Tsukineko Delicata gold ink and Gold Stickles. I adhered the die cut to a piece of Aqua Mist circle die cut. I added some gold blings that I cut from a piece of mesh bling.

For the sentiment, I used a stamp from PTI Peaceful Pinecones as well as a stamp and die from Avery Elle's Build a Banner set.

Supplies:
- PTI Mehndi Medallion, Peaceful Pinecones set
- Avery Elle Build a Banner
- Stampin' Up River Rock, Tsukineko Delicata Gold
- Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock, PTI Aqua Mist
- PTI Circle Scribbles
- Stickles, Mesh Bling

Star Card

This is the first of the two cards I made for Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge.

For this challenge, we need to create a card based on the following inspiration photo.

I used the white, coral and mint color from the photo as well as the starburst mirror to create my card.

The starburst mirror made me think of a star, so I used the biggest die from  Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackable die set to create the base of the card. Using a sponge dauber, I colored the edge of the base card with Tsukineko Delicata Gold ink.

To create the inner part of the card, I temporarily adhered pieces of PTI Aqua Mist, Stampin' Up Whisper White and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock on a piece of scrap paper. I then created another star die cut using the same die that I used to create the base card. Thanks to the embossing created by the die, I was able to trim the star die cut to make it smaller than the base card. I removed the pieces of cardstock from the scrap paper and adhered them to the base card.

For the embellishment, I used the Peaceful Pinecones stamp and die set from PTI. I also used some gold enamel dots from Studio Calico.

Supplies:
- Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackable die set
- PTI Peaceful Pinecones stamp and die set
- PTI Aqua Mist, Stampin' Up Whisper White and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock
- Stampin' Up Gumball Green, Chocolate Chip ink pad
- Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
- Studio Calico Gold enamel dots

I started by creating  a background using a stamp from Papertrey Ink's Happy Harlquin set and a small star stamp from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday set. I used Real Red and Pink Pirouette ink pads from Stampin' Up for the harlequin images and embossed the stars using gold Zing embossing powder.

For the embellishment, I used the holly die and stamp from Holiday Button Bits set. I adhered it on a piece of vellum banner and added some buttons from my stash, a stripe of gold mesh bling. The sentiment "Happy Holidays" is a rub-on that I found in my stash.

- Grey, white and vellum cardstock
- Happy Harlequin, Stylish Sentiments: Birthday, Holiday Button Bits sets from Papertrey Ink
- Gold zing embossing powder
- Stampin' Up ink pads

I decided to keep making Christmas card so that I have enough to send during the holiday season. This time, I created the card as an entry to Cure For the Monday Blues challenge.

Here is the inspiration photo for the current challenge.

And here is my card.

I used the white flower chandelier and the white wall behind it as my inspiration.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock, slightly smaller than the A2 base with Quickutz Christmas Phrases embossing folder.

I then created the multi-layered snowflake embellishment with Festive Flurry stamp and die set from Stampin Up. I die cut some vellum and white cardstock snowflakes and embossed the snowflake images using white embossing powder.

All the pieces are stacked together and adhered to the embossed cardstock using a snowflake brad that I found in my stash. I added some sparkle using Stickles.

Supplies:
- Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock, Vellum
- Versamark ink pad, Hero Arts white embossing powder

No Outline Watercolor

I made another Christmas card using the technique described in this week's Make It Monday challenge. I used PTI's Peaceful Pinecones set and the Madison Arched Die from Poppy Stamps.

I first die cut the window die on a piece of scrap paper. Using a light-colored marker and the die cut,  I traced the shape of the window on a piece of watercolor paper. I then stamped the small pinecone and branches images using Wheat ink pad from Amuse.

Using Distress Ink reinkers, I colored the images. As a sentiment, I used "'Tis The Season" stamp from Think Big Favorites #8.

I adhered the watercolor paper on a piece of patterned paper.

Supplies:
- Watercolor paper, patterned paper from October Afternoon
- Distress Ink reinkers (Festive Berries, Barn Door, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Walnut Stain)

Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge #24

For this week's Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge, we have to make a card based on the following inspiration photo.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I used the neon orange, yellow, aqua, brown and grey colors from the picture. I also used PTI Make It Market : Shakers and Sprinkles stamp and die set.

I started by die cutting the "Sprinkled" word and embossing it with neon orange Zing embossing powder. I adhered the word on a piece of PTI Aqua Mist cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with A-muse Slate ink pad.

I used four strips of woodgrain paper to frame the sentiment. I got this idea when I saw the shelves in the picture. The bucket of paint gave me an idea to add something that looks like paint drops on my card. I thought that the confetti die from the PTI kit would work, so I adhered some paper confetti on my card.

I'm actually quite surprised with this challenge. I did not like the color scheme when I saw the picture for the first time. After I finished the card, I realized that the colors are pretty nice.

Supplies:
- PTI Maket It Market: Shakers and Sprinkles kit
-Versamark, A-muse Slate ink pads
- Neon orange Zing embossing powder
- PTI Aqua Mist and Harvest Gold cardstock, Bazzil Cardstock
- Woodgrain paper

Supplies:
- Studio L2E Special Delivery set
- Neenah Dessert Storm cardstock and Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock
