Growing in Unity Day 4: All You Need is Love
Hi All,
For Growing in Unity Day 4, I want to share a one-layer card that I made using some stamps from August 2010 Kit of the Month ("All You Need").
I first stamped the sentiment "all you need is" and "Love" on a white card base. I masked the sentiments before stamping and heat embossing some heart images.
Keeping the masks on the sentiments, I sprayed the front of the card with Studio Calico Boss Lady Mister Huey, Heidi Swapp Primrose and Sweet Cherry Color shine. Once it dried, I buffed the embossed image to reveal the hearts.
To embellish the card, I outlined the sentiments and added a red heart-shaped flatback pearl.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
-Unity August 2010 KOM
-Versamark, Versafine Satin Red, Papertrey Ink Aqua Mist
-Mister Huey in Boss Lady, Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Sweet Cherry and Primrose
-Flat-back pearl
-Card base

Growing in Unity Day 3: Birthday Card
Today, I'm going to share with you a fun shaker card I made using the cool jar stamp from Jar of Sunshine stamp set.
Most of the pattern paper used for this card comes from Basic Grey's Shine On line.
To make this shaker card, I stamped the jar image on a white cardstock and fussy cut it. I then traced the cut image on a piece of transparency as well as on a piece of pattern paper. The transparency and the pattern paper were then cut along the traced line.
Using a precision knife, I cut out the middle part of the white cardstock. I then adhered the transparency piece behind the white cardstock. After putting some confettis on the pattern paper piece, I adhered the transparency piece to the pattern paper piece with some foam squares.
The confetti consists of some cup cakes that I fussy cut out of a piece of pattern paper as well as some stamped images create using the sentiment stamp from the Hip Hip Hooray set.
Also, the sentiment for this card comes from A Little Party set.
Thanks for looking. Please leave a comment to get a chance to win two Itty Bitty stamps of your choice.
Supplies:
- Kraft card base from Michael's
-Basic Grey Shine On pattern paper and star chipboard sticker
-Unity Jar of Sunshine, Hip Hip Hooray and A Little Party sets
-Versacolor ink
-American Craft black jute string

Growing in Unity Day 2: Christmas Card
Today's project is still related to Christmas. I made a card with a "door" that opens to show a Christmas tree. I used some stamps from the Simple Christmas set as well as some stickers that I have in my stash.
The creases on the red cardstock were created with the help of Scor-Pal. To close the "door", I used the small magnets from Basic Grey, one part is placed behind the holly border and another is placed behind the Christmas tree die cut.
I also used some red masking tape to join the "door" to the red frame.

Growing in Unity Day 1: Holiday Gift Labels And Ornament
Hi everyone,
I'm so excited to be the Growing in Unity (GIU) girl this week. Every day this week, from Monday to Friday, I will show a project done using some Unity stamps.
At the end of this week, I will randomly draw a winner from those who comment on my posts. The lucky person will receive TWO Itty Bitty stamps of their choice from Unity Stamp Company. So, don't forget to leave some comments on my posts this week.
If you are not yet a follower of my blog, I would be happy if you become my new follower :).
Today, I want to share the holiday gift labels and a Christmas ornament that I made using a cute wreath stamp from July 2010 Kit of the Month and the Time & Seasons number stamps.
Holiday Gift Labels
Using the Silhouette machine and the trace feature of the Silhouette software, I die cut the red wreaths, the cream cardstock and the number banners. I then stamped the wreath image using some Versamark ink and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder.
For the number banners, I just stamped the images with some Versafine ink in Spanish Moss. I then assembled the pieces together.
Christmas Ornament
For the ornament, I made a 3-D Christmas tree using a stamp from the Gingham Christmas Greetings set. I stamped 3 images, fussy cut and glued the 3 pieces together to wrap a piece of baker's twine.
I glued the top part of the twine to the back of the wreath die cut. To hang this ornament, I used some red/white baker's twine and glued it to another wreath die cut. I then stacked the wreath die cut with the embossed image on top of the other wreath die cut with the help of some foam squares.
Using EK Success Christmas Cookies edger punch, I made those tiny stars, gingerbread men/women and trees that you see on the wreath.
Don't forget to leave a comment. See you tomorrow!
Supplies & Tools:
-Unity July 2010 Kit of The Month, Time & Seasons and Gingham Christmas Greetings sets
-Red, white and cream cardstock
-Hero Arts white embossing powder, embossing gun
-Stickles, Versafine Spanish Mosh
-Silhouette machine

Wishing You Joy & Happiness
For this card, I had to color the stamped image (Have a Lovely Day). I decided to stamp the image to a piece of hexagon wood veneer (from Diana McRae) and colored the image using Copics.
The hexagon frame was made using the Hexagon Nestabilities from Spellbinders. As an embellishment, I added some May Arts' chevron twill ribbon in pink.

Love Every Inch of You
This card is probably slightly shabby chic, well I don't know the style, really :P. I used the Love Every Inch stamp set to make the background image as well as the sentiment.
I die cut a dress form out of a corrugated cardstock using Tim Holtz die. Using the "negative" part of the die cut, I used some Glimmer Mist to make the shadow of the dress form.
The photo frame pattern paper is actually a scrap (with a circle hole on it) that I decided to put on the card because it fit the style. This paper is from Kesi'Art and is part of the Studio Calico's Central High Scrapbook kit.
I made some pleats using washi tape and May Arts' black chevron twill ribbon. Also, as an embellishment, I put a small fabric rose on the dress form.
Supplies:
-Love Every Inch stamp from Unity Stamp
-Washi tape, May Arts' black chevron twill, jute string, brad
-Corrugated cardstock, Kesi'Art pattern paper
-Glimmer Mist

Noel
Here is a purple Christmas card :). This card is also done for the WCMD challenge at Unity Stamps blog. I used pattern paper from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses line.
For this challenge, I made a border out of single Christmas tree stamp. I assembled the "border" strips using some dimensional dots.
I stuck some alphabet stickers to a piece of stamped cardstock to make the sentiment "Noel"
Supplies:
-Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses patern paper
-Christmas tree stamp and Season's Greeting background stamp, both from a grab bag.
-Jute string
-Green pattern paper from Fancy Pants.

You Deserve Happy
I made this card based on a layout for the WCMD challenge at Unity Stamps blog. The semi circle that we have to add on the card gave me an idea to make a pocket in front of the card.
All the circles on this card were made using Spellbinders Nestabilities. I used the small magnets from Basic Grey to close the pocket.
Supplies:
-Basic Grey Konichiwa and Cosmo Cricket Twenty-Three pattern paper
-Maya Road red pom-pom trim
-Basic Grey magnets
-PTI die cut (thanks Kristi!)

Happy Birthday
I want to share a card I made using the Fizzy Feeling stamp set from Unity Stamp. The image of the soda bottle and the glasses were heat embossed in red. They were then colored using Copics. I chose bright colors for the images to match the cheerful background paper (from Basic Grey Shine On line) that I chose.
For the sentiment, I used some alphabet stickers from Basic Grey Shine On line to create a "Happy Birthday" phrase.
Supplies:
-Basic Grey Shine On paper and alphabet stickers
-Unity Stamp Fizzy Feelings
-Copics

Happy Fall
Here is another card I made for Unity WCMD challenge. The challenge is to make a card with a fall theme.
For the background of the card, I used Fiskars texture plates to emboss the card. I then colored the raised surface with a brayer and Foliage Big & Juicy Rainbow ink pad from Rangers.
I used strips of orange glitter cardstock to create a frame on the card. The tree in the center of the card is a simple paper piecing made using the Tree Love stamp. I used a lot of scraps from my Studio Calico Central High scrapbook kit.
Supplies:
-Unity Stamp Tree Love
-Studio Calico Central High Scrapbook Kit
-DCWV Glitter Cardstock
-Fiskars texture plates, rubber brayer
-Foliage Big & Juicy Rainbow Ink pad from Rangers

After I stamped the typewriter in pink, I colored the top part with a black Copic. I then wrapped some jute string around the typewriter and stuck it with dimensional dots to the layer of pattern paper.
I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock and punched it out using the Photo Captions punch from EK Success.

You're the Light of My Heart
This is a card I made for WCMD challenge at Unity Stamps. The challenge is to make a card with a shape (no regular circle or rectangular cards are allowed). So here is my take on the challenge.
I used the large envelope stamp from Unity Stamp and stamped it on a piece of pattern paper from Basic Grey's Kissing Booth collection. I cut the image and glued it to a piece of folded kraft card.
Once I cut around the envelope image, I made a slit in the middle to make a pocket. I put a red pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket as an "envelope liner".
The shipping tag in the envelope can be used to write some notes. I stamped the dandelion image using a Unity Stamp.
Supplies:
-Unity Stamps (Scripted Envelope, Dandelion and sentiment)
-Basic Grey Kissing Booth and Cosmo Cricket pattern paper
-Twine, seam binding, shipping tag, washi tape
-Spica marker, Versacolor ink, black marker
