Smile

This is a layout I made for an old picture. It was taken in September 2008 when my husband (then boyfriend) and I went to Rajashtan, India, for 2 weeks.

I stamped some images on this layout using Unity Ippity stamp set, Life is the Journey.

The circles at the top left corner were created using Spellbinder Nestabilities dies. I added some flower buttons and the cute cloud wood veneer I bought from Diana McRae. I stamped a red heart on the wood veneer and drew the black line around the heart.

What I like about this particular paper from My Mind's Eye Life Story line is that it's a perfect paper for documenting your photos. I filled in the "General Information" part with some information about the picture.

I used some vinyl Thickers for the title. I added a Maya Road transparent ribbon as a background for the title. Another cute arrow wood veneer from Diana is used here. I stamped a circle frame around the phrase "Full of Joy". I added an airplane brad from Making Memories to the bottom left corner of the picture.

At the bottom right corner of the page, I stamped a bar code image using Stampin' Up stamp that Cindy gave to me (THANKS, Cindy!). I used my Memento marker to color all the area of the stamp except for the number area in the middle, so that I could write "Captured ♥ Documented" in that area.

Toulouse Layout

Yesterday, I made a layout for a picture that my husband took when we were at his hometown at Christmas 2010.

I used a sheet of paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection and another sheet from Making Memories Vintage Findings.

I also used some rosette trims that I got from my friend, Aarti. I used different Glimmer Mists to color the white rose and added a brad as the flower center.

The wood veneers that I used as photo corners are bought from Diana.

Supplies:
-Pattern paper from My Mind's Eye, Making Memories
-Rosette trims from Aarti, lace, wood veneers from Diana, Studio Calico butterfly wood veneer
-Washi tape, Basic Grey's Serendipity chipboard alphas, Webster's Pages Sparkle push pin, My Mind's Eye Lost & Found II brad.

MyScrapRoom Challenge #28

In challenge #28, we are asked to turn a toilet paper roll into something. Also, as part of the requirements, we need to use gift tissue paper, acrylic paint and some chipboard.

I decided to make a gift tag holder. For this project, I used some red and some teal tissue paper. I turned the red tissue paper into a faux washi tape. As for the teal tissue paper, I used it as an embellisment for the pocket, after adding some red Distressed Ink to it.

I also used a Tim Holtz die to die cut a reindeer chipboard and cover it with a gift wrapper.

Supplies:
-Unity Stamp from August 2010 Kit of the Month
-Toilet paper roll, gift tissue paper, yellow acrylic paint.
-Tim Holtz Distress ink
-Ribbon
-Reindeer Chipboard, gift wrapper.
-Double sided tape (for the faux washi).
